The Ore Bank Story
It all started with a dog…
Hi, my name is Marcia Hoff!
I started Ore Bank Outdoors in 2007 because of my biggest passion in life…
Dogs.
Really, it started because of a woman’s love for one specific dog. Dutch, my first Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, introduced me to so many things that I had never intended: Hunting and all the training and handling that goes with it, dog shows and an understanding of conformation and dog mechanics, NAVHDA and AKC Hunt Tests, breeding and what is involved with being a responsible breeder, and the list goes on! What began as a love affair between Dutch and me became a way of life centered around my perfect breed, the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.
As we added more griffs into our pack, I realized how much I enjoy training and handling my own dogs in every aspect. I have multiple Breeder/Owner/Handler conformation champions, NAVHDA prize dogs in NA and UT, and SH/MH-titled girls in the AKC system. I am so very proud of these accomplishments!
I love working with Wirehaired Pointing Griffons of all ages and their people to maximize their performance in the field. As we added training days to our regular schedule, I looked forward to them weeks in advance. Reading a dog and its owner to find the best route toward success is one of the most rewarding things for me! Now I spend hours every day working out training strategies with owners of Ore Bank puppies and other Griff folks, all toward the end goal of a highly talented hunting dog who is simultaneously a treasured family member.
This is what we value at Ore Bank!
